FILM INDUSTRY

Martland Rollers
working with the film industry.

Roll covering material selection is essential for performance in the manufacture of film. The industry uses a range of rubber compounds to have their own set of unique engineering properties that make it suitable for a particular application which are determined by the method of film production and the finished product for the convertor. Key properties for the rubber rolls include, excellent resilience, temperature, chemical and abrasion resistance plus excellent dynamic characteristics to operate under high pressure and speeds; many applications will require a combination of these properties.
